How long does one evaluation take?
Most evaluations fit in a single working session. Your time goes into describing the need, reviewing criteria, and setting weights. MercatIQ runs the research and scoring while you watch, so the results build in front of you rather than arriving days later. Complex decisions with many options take longer to review, but the process stays the same.
Do we need to prepare data or documents before starting?
No. You start by describing what you need in plain language. MercatIQ asks a few clarifying questions about budget, requirements, and constraints, then turns your answers into the criteria every option is scored on. You don't need to prepare anything in advance.
Can we change criteria or weights after the research runs?
Yes. Criteria and weights stay editable throughout the evaluation. When you adjust a priority, the scores re-rank so you can see how the outcome shifts. It is also a fast way to pressure-test a decision before you commit to it.
What if we already have options in mind?
Add them. You can bring your own candidates into the evaluation alongside the options MercatIQ finds, and every option is scored against the same criteria and weights. Nothing gets an advantage for being on the list first.
What do we get at the end?
A scored comparison, a recommended best fit, and the reasoning behind it, broken down per criterion. You can export the results or share them with a summary, so stakeholders can see why the top option wins without sitting through the whole evaluation.
